In a short time, actions will focus on reducing the global acute malnutrition rate among children under 5, the Ministry of Public Health (Minsanté) announced.

The mechanism includes creating a price support system to ease access to infant nutrients and food and a national plan to fight malnutrition in pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under 5. Ultimately, the government seeks to reinforce the sanitary safety of the food consumed by the population and improve access to a healthy and balanced diet.
